I have been way, way too busy trying to get things in order with being back to work and all! But when I saw this linky I just had to take a break and link up! I love reading and meeting other wonderful teachers/bloggers out there!
My name is Jamie Knefely. I am 38 years old {way too close to forty if you ask me}! I am married and have been for 14 years. We have two beautiful girls {which I know some of you have seen plenty of on this little blog of mine}! Emma is in 5th grade and Gracie is in 2nd! I have been teaching for about 14/15 years. I am starting to lose count. I started sometime around the year of 2000. I taught middle school {6th, 7th, 8th} for six years and then made the big switch to elementary. I taught 3rd grade before finally settling into 2nd grade. Second grade is where I feel like I have found my niche. But never say never!!
These are a few of my favorite things….
being on the water – crafting – lazy days in the bed snuggling up with kiddos – Crayola crayons – Mr. Sketcher Markers – fresh flowers – a clean house – the smell of fresh paint – bright colors – happy people – a brand new purse – bubble gum – empty laundry baskets
If you weren’t a teacher, what would you want to be?
A candy shoppe owner! I really don’t even like sweets that much, but I love the way a pretty candy shoppe looks! The ways all the colors of candy are organized in the jars. I actually had an entire plan in mind if teaching didn’t pan out, luckily it did. I think I like the idea of this elaborate, beautiful candy shoppe {like the kind you see in magazines] more than actually running one!
Three little words to describe you.
calm – organized – smiling
Finish the sentence, “______, said no teacher ever!!”
“I love going to faculty meetings all the time”, said no teacher ever!!!
Q: It’s your birthday and you can invite anyone you want {dead or alive} to the party. Who are you inviting?
I would invite my grandmother who passed away when I fifth grade. I was really close to her and I have so many questions I often think of, that I would love to get a chance to ask her.
Q: You get to pick one superpower, what is it?
The ability to zoom around at warp speed!
Q: If you had to sing one song on American Idol what would it be?
The House that Built Me – Miranda Lambert
{I love this song – The lyrics are so true: sometimes this world will get you and you just need to get back home or back to where you came from to remember what is important}
Q: Are you a morning person or night owl?
Definitely not a morning person, but not to sure I am always a night owl either!!
Q: What’s your favorite resource you have created in your TpT shop?
I love my Grammar Flashback games and printable set! I love that it is centered around the 80’s {totally my era}! I also love that it can be use whole class or small group.
Share something we may not know about you.
I love to buy purses and storage containers – even when I don’t need them!!!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Be sure to link up!

I am getting ready to move into my first classroom tomorrow, and laughed at the fact that I may have more storage containers (matching) than things to actually store in them! So I feel your storage container joy!
Great to "get to know" you!!

Jamie,
You and I have a lot in common. As I was reading your favorite things I kept saying to my self, "Me too!"
I love the idea of owning a Candy Shoppe. I think that would be a blast, but I love sweets so I think that may become a problem.

I would not eat the candy, but I would have to worry about my husband and oldest daughter. They always are down for something sweet to eat. Thanks for stopping by!!

I loved reading about your teaching experience! I didn't know you were all over the place but what great experience I'm sure you've got. I only have three years under my belt but I'm looking forward to many more 🙂 Each year I feel like you learn a bit more!
